Role:

- Ensure that web operations are maintained at a high level of
performance, functionality, and availability in development, test, and
production environments.
- Installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of
hardware and operating systems supporting web servers, and java
application servers.
- Provide support for application developers in our customer
environments.
- Ensure that infrastructure conforms to company's architecture,
operations, and security standards and procedures.
- Provide 7 x 24 on-call support as required from time to time
- Create, maintain, and test disaster recovery procedures.
- Provide planning and execution for departmental projects to customer
satisfaction.
- Evaluation of available software products to meet corporate business
requirements.

Must Have Skills:

-University Degree or equivalent related work experience
-Excellent knowledge of UNIX O/S, preferably Redhat Linux 4 and HP-UX

-Excellent knowledge of hardware support for Intel and UNIX platforms
-Excellent knowledge of scripting tools for automation, monitoring and
troubleshooting
-Good knowledge of internet security issues
-Good knowledge of web servers, preferably Apache
-Understanding of java application servers, preferably BEA Weblogic
products including WebLogic Server v 9.2, WebLogic Portal v 9.2,
WebLogic Integration v8.1, and AquaLogic Service Bus v 2.5
-Understanding of databases including Oracle 9i, Microsoft SQL Server
2000, and MySQL
-Availability for on-call support
